علق شريف عبد المنعم لاعب فريق الكرة الأسبق بالنادي الأهلي، على تعادل الأحمر خلال مواجهة اليوم مع منافسه المصري، في المباراة التي جمعت بينهما ضمن منافسات الدوري المصري.

وعقب مباراة اليوم، وصل رصيد الأهلي إلى 23 نقطة في المركز الثاني بجدول ترتيب المسابقة، من الفوز بـ6 مباريات والتعادل 5 مرات بجانب هزيمة وحيدة حتى الآن، خلال مشواره في الدوري المصري.

وقال شريف عبد المنعم في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة “الأهلي”: “الأهداف التي أهدرها الأهلي غريبة جدًا، السيء أن هذا التعادل الثاني، وهذا يجعل ثقة المكسب تهرب ويدخلك في ممر غير معتاد”.

وأردف: “لكن اللاعبين لم يقصروا، اللاعبون يذهبون لمرمى المنافس، والتغييرات كانت جيدة، أحمد عبد القادر لم يكن على المستوى، البعض سيقول لي أنه لا يشارك باستمرار، ولكن على كل لاعب أن يُحضر نفسه بشكل جيد وعندما يشارك تكون مشاركته إيجابية”.

وأكمل: “أنا أرى إن لاعبي الأهلي يشاركون وليس عندهم حماس، نحاول الاختراق ولكن التنفيذ داخل منطقة الجزاء أشعر أن كل لاعب لا يريد أن يعتمد على الآخر”.

وأوضح: “الموضوع يحتاج إلى تنظيم نفسي أكثر من فني، إنهاء الهجمة ضعيف، واللاعبون يشعرون أنهم سيفوزون في أي وقت، ولكن لم يقصروا”.

وأضاف: “الأهلي في كل مباراة هو الذي يستحوذ ويُهدر، أقول للجماهير لا تقلقوا على الفريق والنتائج، لا يوجد فريق في العالم يفوز باستمرار، المهم أن تطمئن إن الفريق يذهب لمنطقة جزاء الخصم، الأهلي اليوم أهدر 16 فرصة”.

وأتم: “على اللاعبين أن يشاهدوا أنفسهم من جديد ويُحددون السلبيات والإيجابيات، أرى أنهم لم يرتكبوا أخطاء كثيرة، لكن الروح كانت غائبة”.

Faf du Plessis, who tried to break the shackles and charged at Arshad, was caught at mid-on by Siraj. He made 5 off ten balls.After five overs, DC were 28 for 1. Rahul then injected momentum into the innings by hitting Kagiso Rabada for two sixes and a four in the last over of the powerplay. During that over, Rahul also completed 8000 runs in T20 cricket. Reaching there in 224 innings, he was the third-fastest, behind only Chris Gayle (213) and Babar Azam (218).With a four off Rashid Khan, Rahul brought up his fifty, his fourth of the season and coming off 35 balls. As a result, DC reached 81 for 1 after ten overs.R Sai Kishore had Abishek Porel caught behind for 30 off 19, after being hit for a six previous ball. That brought an end to a 90-run stand in 8.4 overs. But luck was on DC’s side, especially Rahul’s. In the 14th over, he got three fours off R Sai Kishore’s first three balls, all through luck. The first one was drilled back and went through Sai Kishore’s hand. Rabada misfielded the next and then an outside edge sped past short third.Axar took apart Sai Kishore in the 16th over, a strange call on Shubman Gill’s behalf to give Sai Kishore that over given Axar’s excellent record against spin this season. That over went for 15. Prasidh Krishna returned in the next over and dismissed Axar with his second ball.But Rahul and Stubbs added 48 off 22 balls in an unbroken stand to set GT a target of 200. With no dew so far, GT has their task cut out for them.

Antonio Conte-managed Napoli want to sign a new right-back in January and, in a shocking turn of events, it is understood that Brentford full-back Michael Kayode is on their shortlist as the manager searches for depth behind Giovanni Di Lorenzo.

Kayode to Napoli in January?

While Napoli need a right-back, according to SpazioNapoli, they are yet to make any formal offer to Kayode or establish contact with Brentford. The player, meanwhile, is contracted to the Premier League outfit until 2030; hence, it is expected that the Italian defender won't be cheap for the Naples-based giants.

While Kayode struggled in the second half of the 2024-25 season, the ongoing season of the Premier League has seen him appear seven times. Although he is yet to deliver any assists, his dangerous long throws and distance covering might be something Conte would like to add to his arsenal. Napoli have other options on their radar as well, but the 21-year-old might just be the candidate they are searching for.

After missing out on Facundo Buonanotte to Chelsea, Leeds United have now reportedly re-opened talks to sign a priority target before the transfer window slams shut.

Chelsea hijack Leeds' Buonanotte move

Just like Igor Paixao earlier this summer, Leeds are set to miss out on an attacking reinforcement at the death. This time, it’s Chelsea who have jumped ahead of them in brutal fashion to close in on a deal to sign Buonanotte from Brighton & Hove Albion. The news leaves those at Elland Road back to square one and still in need of additions.

Just where Leeds go from here is the big question. The 49ers have just two days to welcome alternative options and complete a squad that must be good enough to avoid the drop.

So far, Leeds have welcomed as many as 10 signings, with the latest arrival being James Justin from Leicester City. Once again, though, he will boost Daniel Farke’s backline rather than add some much-needed goals to his side.

The defender told Leeds’ official website after putting pen to paper: “Obviously to join a club of this size and to have the history it has had, and being back in the Premier League was a massive thing for me, so I’m over the moon to have joined.

“Everyone that I’ve spoken to about the club and the area has had great things to say about it. So I’m excited to join the lads and get to work.

Whilst Justin is a welcome arrival, Leeds have continued their search for an attacking reinforcement and have reportedly turned back towards one of their main targets.

Leeds re-open El Khannouss talks

According to Leeds United News, Leeds have now re-opened talks to sign Bilal El Khannouss from Leicester this week. The attacking midfielder just missed out on a move to Crystal Palace after they decided to sign Yeremy Pino instead. Although that would have been a disappointment for him, it has seemingly allowed Elland Road chiefs to swoop back in for their priority target.

Dubbed a “fantastic talent” by scout Jacek Kulig, El Khannouss was a rare bright spark in a relegated Leicester side last season and could now provide Leeds’ attack with that same spark.

Martin "thrilled" to welcome "aggressive" Moore

It’s been an impressive overhaul by Rangers this summer and Moore instantly stands out as one of their best arrivals. The exciting 17-year-old often showed glimpses of what he is capable of whenever given the opportunity at Tottenham and a loan move to Rangers should provide him with the platform to begin realising what is incredibly high potential.

Speaking for the first time since sealing his loan move, the young winger told Rangers’ official website: “I’m excited to get going. As soon as I heard Rangers were interested and wanted me to come, it was a massive opportunity for me.

“I’m excited to be here and hopefully I can show the fans and everyone what I can do. I’ve always loved Rangers as a club. My family have always loved them. I think with the new boss and the way that we play, it’s a great place to be at the minute. It was a pretty easy decision for me to come here.”

Russell Martin was also thrilled to get the deal over the line, saying: “We are thrilled to bring Mikey on loan for this season. His profile as a brave, aggressive attacking player is one that we were keen to add to the squad, and he is certainly a player who, despite his age, can make an impact on the team from day one.

Those at Ibrox aren’t done there with their shopping in the Premier League, however. Reports are now claiming that they’ve opened talks to sign a young talent who the 49ers know well.

Leeds open talks to sign Joe Gelhardt

According to Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider, Rangers have now opened talks to sign Joe Gelhardt in a permanent deal from Leeds United, who are also owned by the 49ers.

The 23-year-old forward spent the second half of last season on loan at Hull City, having struggled for game time at Elland Road, and ended his spell with five goals to his name. It was a loan move which, ultimately, lacked consistency but one that seemingly showed Rangers enough to warrant a summer move.

Whilst Gelhardt struggled for starts at Leeds, Martin and Rangers could yet provide him with the platform that he has desperately needed for the last 12 months.

It’s then that he could realise his best form and prove Jamie Rednkapp right, who said when speaking about Gelhardt in 2021: “He’s like a human wrecking ball. I like him; he’s really exciting. He’s fast; he’s aggressive; he gets on the ball, he takes people on.”
