تأثر ليستر سيتي عشية الموسم الجديد في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز بغياب أحد لاعبيه عن الملاعب لمدة ستة أشهر بسبب تمزق وتر العرقوب “أكيليس”.

ويبدأ ليستر مشواره في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز على أرضه أمام برينتفورد يوم الأحد.

وكان المدافع ريكاردو بيريرا قد انسحب من المباراة الودية التي فاز فيها الفريق بهدف دون رد على إشبيلية في استاد كينج باور يوم الأحد وخضع لعملية جراحية في وتر العرقوب هذا الأسبوع.

في حديثه في أول مؤتمر صحفي له قبل المباراة في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز هذا الموسم، أكد بريندان رودجرز، مدرب ليستر سيتي، إصابة البرتغالي وذكر مدى إهدار الفريق.

وقال مدرب ليستر سيتي: “للأسف، سيغيب ريكاردو بيريرا لما يصل إلى ستة أشهر، لقد أصيب بتمزق في وتر العرقوب، وهو أمر مؤسف للغاية لأن الكثير من فكرة لعبتنا خلال الصيف كانت تدور حول الظهير وحوله على وجه الخصوص”.

وأضاف: “كان يبدو جيدا جدا إنها ضربة قوية له، لقد خضع لعملية جراحية الليلة الماضية وسوف يتعافى الآن، ويعود بقوته مرة أخرى ويعود بشكل أفضل أنا متأكد، سيكون خسارة كبيرة بالنسبة لنا ولكن علينا المضي قدمًا”.

إنها ثاني إصابة كبيرة يتعرض لها اللاعب البالغ من العمر 28 عامًا خلال الفترة التي قضاها في ليستر، بعد إصابة في الرباط الصليبي الأمامي في عام 2020 أدت إلى استبعاده لمدة خمسة أشهر.

Australia struggled to 142 in their first innings at Bankstown Oval, but fought back to have India 7 for 104 before failing to shut down the innings.The captain Jhulan Goswami and Rumeli Dhar showed no nerves in the tense finish to register the success with 13 balls to spare. They needed 16 from the final four overs in the batting Powerplay and made it with Goswami’s boundary to midwicket off Ellyse Perry. Goswami finished with 18 while Dhar collected 24 off 27 deliveries.Australia struck twice through Erin Osborne, who bowled the opener Anjum Chopra for 15 and then trapped Anagha Deshpande for 18, but India kept moving forward and were cruising at 2 for 72. However, Lisa Sthalekar (3 for 27) stepped in to have Mithali Raj (15) stumped and quickly picked up another key breakthrough when Sulakshana Naik was caught slogging to deep midwicket on 28.More trouble came as Sthalekar removed Thirush Kamini caught behind, and Perry chipped in with two wickets before the stunning Goswami-Dhar revival. Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott has provided another update on his injury recovery via Instagram.

Elliott underwent successful surgery last month and now more news has emerged on his road back to fitness, as he was pictured riding an exercise bike at the AXA Training Centre and captioned the image ‘step by step, day by day’.

The 18-year-old suffered a fracture dislocation of the left joint in Liverpool’s win at Leeds United last month.

The club have said that they expect Elliott to feature again this season, but haven’t placed a more specific timescale on his return.

Elliott had started three consecutive Premier League games prior to his injury, having forced his way into Jurgen Klopp’s plans on the back of his loan spell at Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

Who else is missing at the moment?

Liverpool currently have two other players out injured with relatively minor issues.

Thiago Alcantara has missed the last four matches with a calf issue, while a groin problem sidelined Trent Alexander-Arnold against FC Porto and Manchester City.

The hope is that both players will be back in action after the international break.

O Figueirense se recuperou das duas derrotas consecutivas e venceu por 2 a 1 o Brasil de Pelotas, na noite desta sexta-feira. Com gols de Robinho e Henan, a equipe de Florianópolis respirou e saiu da zona de rebaixamento. O time de Marcelo Cabo ocupa a 16° posição, com 15 pontos. O gol marcado por Marcinho não evitou a derrota do Xavante, que caiu para 12° lugar, com 17 pontos.

With Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic side heading into Thursday night’s Europa League clash in rather poor form, with the Bhoys having lost four of their last seven fixtures in all competitions, the 56-year-old Hoops manager would have undoubtedly been hoping for a positive performance and result against Bayer Leverkusen in order to kickstart the club’s European campaign.

However, first half strikes from Piero Hincapie and Florian Wirtz gave the Bundesliga side a 2-0 lead at half-time in the fixture, before a 58th-minute Lucas Alario penalty and a stoppage time Amine Adli saw the visitors run out comfortable 4-0 winners, a result which leaves Celtic rooted to the bottom of the Group G table.

As evident from such a result, a number of Hoops players failed to impress over the course of the 90 minutes, with Kyogo Furuhashi, Tom Rogic and David Turnbull all receiving SofaScore match ratings of 6.4 or lower. However, it may be Cameron Carter-Vickers who is left most disappointed with his performance on Thursday night.
