Yorkshire’s seam attack has proved itself a formidable unit over the past five months and when Ryan Sidebottom uprooted Luke Wells’s off stump with a brutish swinging delivery as early as the third ball of Sussex’s second innings, it was clear that Ed Joyce’s batsmen were to have their work cut out amid the encircling gloom on the south coast.It was a good day for anthropologists at Hove. The morning was spent watching players, umpires and spectators conduct themselves during the bizarre set of rituals associated with a delayed start because of rain and a wet outfield; the afternoon and evening offered the sight of Yorkshire’s batsmen playing a little carelessly and being bowled out for 292, thus gaining a first-innings lead of only 34 when an advantage around 100-150 was probably desirable.But still, the White Rose removed two wickets before the deficit was wiped out – Michael Yardy cover-driving Liam Plunkett low to Phil Jaques’s right. A larger lead would have given Yorkshire the chance to attack in the field on the final day and it will be galling in the extreme for Gale’s men if they are left with too stiff a target to chase.Williamson was lbw to Anyon without adding to his overnight 80 and the excellent Magoffin accounted for nightwatchman Steve Patterson. Plunkett whacked a cheery 27 but there remained a sense that amid the bad light and rain breaks, Yorkshire had missed something of an opportunity to truly dominate the contest. Tomorrow we may find out if such tentative judgements were justified.

كشفت تقارير صحفية السبب وراء تجاهل كيليان مبابي، نجم فريق باريس سان جيرمان، الحديث عن مستقبله بأي شكل من الأشكال، خلال حواره الصحفي مع وسيلة إعلامية إفريقية يوم الثلاثاء.

وكان مبابي قد أجرى حوارًا مع شبكة “NIC Sport” الإيفوارية، والذي نُشر منذ قليل، حيث لم يتحدث عن مستقبله مع باريس سان جيرمان رغم التكهنات المتزايدة في الفترة الأخيرة.

وأبلغ مبابي مسؤولي باريس سان جيرمان أنه لا ينوي تفعيل بند التمديد في عقده الحالي، الأمر الذي يعني رحيله مجانًا نهاية الموسم المقبل، أي صيف 2024.

وتسبب ذلك الأمر في إثارة غضب إدارة باريس سان جيرمان، والتي تسعى إلى التخلص من مبابي هذا الصيف إذا لم يتخذ قرارًا جديدًا بشأن مستقبله.

وتواجد مبابي مؤخرًا في مسقط رأسه في الكاميرون، حيث أدلى بتصريحات صحفية، وظن البعض أنه سيتحدث عن مستقبله بشكل أو بآخر، وهو ما لم يحدث.

ووفقًا للصحفي الفرنسي، Andrés Onrubia Ramos، فإن عدم حديث مبابي عن مستقبله خلال حواراته الإعلامية الأخيرة جاء بناءً على رغبة والدته ووكيلة أعماله، السيدة فايزة العماري.

Chris Gayle, the captain of the Jamaica Tallawahs, has praised the contributions of Kumar Sangakkara and Andre Russell after the pair put on 35 in 11 balls for fourth wicket to help defeat Barbados Tridents by seven wickets and book Jamaica’s place in Saturday’s final against the Guyana Amazon Warriors.Sangakkara, who signed for Jamaica last week, anchored the innings with an unbeaten 50, and added a crucial 71 for the second wicket with Chadwick Walton to set the tone for Russell’s late onslaught, and Gayle believed his experience was vital in seeing Jamaica through.”He made a big impact and we’re happy for that. We all know what a class and key player he is, having done it worldwide, and we’re pleased that he took us over the line,” Gayle said. “Being a [former] captain, he knows what the situation requires. Parnell’s second List A hundred included 11 fours and three sixes as he was pushed up the order after a duck at No. 7 against the Knights in the previous match. Ryan Bailey smashed 56 from 32 from there leading them to a mammoth score.Lions lost both their openers, Stephen Cook and Quinton de Kock, within 11 overs to Rusty Theron and Parnell. Van der Dussen and Temba Bavuma revived the innings with a 67-run stand but Bavuma’s wicket fell soon, to be followed by rain.

São Paulo e Palmeiras abriram a semifinal do Paulistão com um jogo bom e equilibrado no Morumbi neste sábado. O empate sem gols não é o melhor dos resultados para o Tricolor, que decidirá a vaga no Allianz Parque, onde nunca ganhou, mas o comportamento da equipe confirmou que o momento é de ascensão.

Cheio de meninos recém-saídos do sub-20, o São Paulo bateu de frente com o atual campeão brasileiro, que talvez seja o dono do melhor e mais tarimbado elenco do futebol no país. Para efeito de comparação, os últimos cinco clássicos entre esses dois clubes haviam acabado com vitórias alviverdes. Na primeira fase do Estadual, os tricolores perderam para os três rivais…

Antony, mais uma vez, foi o melhor são-paulino em campo. Felipe Melo e Victor Luis tiveram muita dificuldade para achá-lo, e praticamente todas as jogadas de perigo do time tiveram sua participação. Além dos dribles e da velocidade, o atacante de 19 anos foi protagonista de tabelas inteligentes que envolveram a defesa adversária e colaborou bastante para o bom primeiro tempo que Hudson, improvisado como lateral-direito, fez ofensivamente.

Liziero também foi muito bem. O garoto cuida do meio de campo como se fosse um veterano e faz o time andar com passes inteligentes e para a frente. Igor Gomes foi outro que não se escondeu. Nenê, que o substituiu, não jogou mais do que ele.

O lado esquerdo do ataque são-paulino, que contou com o apoio constante de Reinaldo e Liziero, não foi tão perigoso quanto o direito. Everton Felipe se movimentou bem e participou do jogo, mas concluiu mal algumas jogadas de um contra um. Everton entrou e não elevou o nível.

O que faltou ao São Paulo – e também ao Palmeiras – foi furar a última linha de defesa para finalizar. As melhores chances dos mandantes foram com Pablo, em um chute de fora da área e uma cabeçada na trave, ambos depois de boas tramas pelo chão. O Palmeiras também teve duas boas ocasiões, ambas em chutes de Dudu – um na trave e outro defendido por Volpi.

A qualidade e o ímpeto de Dudu, aliás, ocasionaram o único momento de descontrole da equipe. Foi da metade para o fim do primeiro tempo, quando os homens de frente palmeirenses começaram a se aproximar e trocar passes, quase sempre com a participação do camisa 7. O pênalti bem anulado pela arbitragem poderia gerar uma desvantagem que talvez fosse justa ao Tricolor por aquele momento do jogo, mas não pelo que foi a partida como um todo.

Se as duas equipes repetirem o nível de atuação deste sábado no domingo que vem, a partir das 16h, no Allianz Parque, o classificado para a decisão será decidido no detalhe. O desafio do São Paulo será não se acanhar diante da pressão exercida pela arena do rival, algo que sempre aconteceu quando jogou lá. A julgar pela maturidade demonstrada pelos garotos, não é de se imaginar que eles vão se intimidar.

وقال بركات في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة “المحور”: “البطولة العربية صعبة وفيها فرق كبيرة جدًا وقوية، من أداء الفرق في مباريات اليوم، مستويات الفرق الكبيرة لم تظهر بالشكل المطلوب بعد، والزمالك يستطيع المنافسة على البطولة العربية”.
