Confira as avaliações abaixo.

FLUMINENSE
5,5

5,5

Tinha a tarefa de anular o meio do Flu e conseguiu cumprir.

6,0
Keven

7,5

Inter opens talks over Nandez deal

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the race to land Leeds target and Cagliari gem Nahitan Nandez…

What’s the talk?

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Inter have opened talks with Cagliari over a deal to sign Leeds United target Nahitan Nandez on loan this summer. Cagliari are said to be keen on signing Radja Nainggolan from the Milan giants, which could play a part in the negotiations.

Leeds have been linked with a swoop for the midfielder this summer, who is reportedly valued at £26m (€30m) by Cagliari. Victor Orta travelled to Italy earlier this month to discuss a potential deal for the Uruguayan.

Bielsa will be gutted

Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds will be gutted reading this latest update. Whilst it is not suggested that a deal is done, or even close, Inter appear to be the favourites given that they have already opened talks over a loan for the ace.

Cagliari wanting Naingollan also hands them a key boost over Leeds, as they could offer the former Roma man in exchange to bolster their chances of getting a move over the line in the coming weeks.

The Leeds coach will be frustrated because Nandez could have been a smart addition to his squad. Mateusz Klich struggled for consistency in the Premier League last season, with an average WhoScored rating of 6.51, and that suggests that a central midfielder is required at Elland Road before the end of the window.

Nandez caught the eye in Italy with his performances across the park, which means that he could have the potential to make the grade in the English top-flight. Serie A journalist Conor Clancy was effusive in his praise of the “machine” and pointed to his versatility on the pitch as one of his main attributes.

He said: “Anywhere Bielsa wants to play him, he’d do a job. I like him a lot.

“I think he’s only about five foot seven, but you wouldn’t know it if you just watched clips of him, he is a little bit of a machine. He’s so powerful but at the same time, has really, really good ball control.”

The 25-year-old showed off his tactical flexibility for Cagliari last season,  playing in eight separate positions across the defence and midfield whilst averaging a WhoScored rating of 6.72. This shows that he has the quality to provide consistent, solid, displays in a multitude of roles at the top level.

Therefore, Bielsa would love him at Elland Road as he could utilise him in a number of positions across his team and have the option to change formations in-game. This is why he will be gutted by the prospect of Inter potentially snapping him up on loan.

AND in other news, Orta must act swiftly to sign “unbelievable” £5.5k-p/w beast, Bielsa needs him at LUFC…

Sri Lanka defeat South Africa to lift Morocco Cup

Sri Lanka held their nerves to capture the Morocco Cup beating South Africa by 27 runs Wednesday

Samiul Hassan22-Aug-2002Sri Lanka held their nerves to capture the Morocco Cup beating South Africa by 27 runs Wednesday. South Africa, chasing 236 for victory, looked dead and buried when they slumped to 91 for six in 26 overs. But a gritty 101-run seventh wicket partnership from 112 balls between Boeta Dippenaar and Mark Boucher brought the Proteas within striking distance. However, when 44 runs were required off 39 deliveries, Dippenaar tried one shot too many to hole out to Mahela Jayawardene off Pulasathi Gunaratne. But as always when one wicket leads to some more, the remaining three wickets fell in a space of 20 balls for the addition of 16 runs with Boucher being the last man out with nine balls remaining. While Dippenaar anchored the innings and scored 53 from 98 balls with two fours it was Boucher who threatened Sri Lanka’s control with busy innings of 70 from 65 balls with four fours and two sixes. The gutsy wicketkeeper swept the ball with perfection and played innovative pull shots to leave stand-in captain Marvan Atapattu bewildered.South Africa wrote their own demise when they lost six wickets inside 26 overs with the scoreboard reading 91.Muralitharan bowled Nicky Boje in his first over and then added the wicket of Roger Telemachus to finish with two for 35. But it was Gunaratne who picked up the vital wickets of Dippenaar and Boucher to end up with two for 38. Chaminda Vaas removed Herchelle Gibbs (6) and Graeme Smith (15) conceding 33 runs from his 10 overs.Gibbs was smartly held at mid-off by Sri Lankan skipper Sanath Jayasuriya. But, in the process, the left-hander injured his right shoulder.Jayasuriya, who was adjudged man-of-the-final, played his role to perfection when he first won the most important toss and then slapped 10 fours and a six in his run-a-ball 71 to provide his team another flying start. But Sri Lanka, who were 167 for two in 32 overs, failed to capitalize from the ideal platform and could add only 68 runs from the remaining 18 overs as they lost wickets at regular intervals. In the last 10 overs, Sri Lanka added 43 runs while between the 30th and 40th overs, they just added only 37 runs for the loss of three wickets.Lance Klusener, Allan Donald and Nicky Boje masterminded South Africa’s fight back when they equally shared six wickets between them. However South Africa’s strategy to not open the bowling with Donald or Kallis alongside Shaun Pollock proved disastrous.Roger Telemachus, who shared the new ball, allowed the Sri Lankan openers to settle down when he went for 36 runs in his four overs with Jayasuriya alone scoring 28 with five fours and a six.Besides Jayasuriya, who also picked up the Man-of-the-Tournament award, Kumar Sangakkara chipped in with a 54-ball 40, 47-ball 33 by Aravinda de Silva and 25 off 40 deliveries from Marvan Atapattu who put on 78 under 15 overs with his skipper. It was Sri Lanka’s second title since they beat Pakistan in Sharjah in April 2001.The Sri Lankans, who trailed 10-14 against South Africa before the start of the competition, also reduced the gap to 13 wins against 14 loses.Meanwhile Jayasuriya could miss next month’s ICC Champions Trophy after suffering an injury against South Africa.Jayasuriya scored an explosive 71 after winning the toss and batting first but dislocated his right shoulder after falling awkwardly taking a catch.Sri Lanka team physiotherapist Alex Kontouri replaced the dislocation on the field but later confirmed that the injury was serious following a scan at a local hospital.”There is ligament damage. He will have another scan when we return to Sri Lanka but at this stage I would say he is only 50-50 for the Champions Trophy,” Kontouri told reporters.

Liverpool fans want Divock Origi to leave

A number of Liverpool supporters are keen to see Divock Origi leavIing the club this summer following an update from a reliable journalist.

The Belgian has had a curious Reds career in many ways, with great moments thrown in but also too many disappointing performances.

Origi will forever be loved by Liverpool fans because of some of the huge goals he has scored, most notably against the likes of Tottenham, Barcelona and Everton. Those strikes have arguably secured the 26-year-old legendary status at Anfield, but it also looks increasingly as though it is time to move on.

[freshpress-quiz id=“359326”]

The Belgian appeared in just 182 minutes of Premier League action last season, failing to register a goal or an assist in the process.

According to Goal’s Neil Jones, Liverpool will sell the striker if the right offer arrives, with unnamed English and German clubs thought to be interested.

Trojans lose basement battle and relegation threatens

Trojans are facing almost certain relegation from Southern Electric Premier League, Division 2 after crashing to an eight-wicket defeat at Rowledge

Mike Vimpany11-Aug-2002Trojans are facing almost certain relegation from Southern Electric Premier League, Division 2 after crashing to an eight-wicket defeat at Rowledge. The trouncing by next Sunday’s National Village Championship semi-finalists cast Trojans well adrift at the foot of the table. The Stoneham club will have to win their last three games against United Services, Lymington and the title chasing Hampshire Academy team if they are to survive. They were dismissed for 152 and resoundingly beaten by Rowledge, who have significantly closed the gap on fellow strugglers Hungerford, who were thrashed by ten wickets by the Academy.A debut Premier League century by former Hampshire YCs captain Chris Yates sentenced Trojans to defeat at Rowledge.Trojans owed much to Mark Goodall’s unbeaten 55 as they reached 152 all out (Jeff Anning 3-23). But there was no stopping Rowledge – and Yates, whose undefeated 105 in an unbroken stand of 92 with David Lloyd (28 not out) carried the village semi-finalists home.Rowledge host Oxfordshire club Shipton-Under-Wychwood in the semi-finals next Sunday.Hampshire’s Academy team boosted their prospects of winning the championship with a crushing win over Hungerford, who could yet suffer a second consecutive relegation.Bottom of Premier 1 last season, Hungerford lie only marginally above Rowledge, whom they face in a potential do-or-die last game of the season on August 31.They never really recovered from losing their first two wickets for only five runs at the Rose Bowl and were dismissed for a modest 128.David Wheeler, who finished with 4-13 off 8.2 overs, and James Manning struck two early blows for the Academy, whose progress was checked before Irfan Shah (2-29) removed former Sussex wicketkeeper Nick Wilton (17) and Steve Wyatt (22) in quick succession. The Hampshire youngsters were looking for a quick kill with Hungerford rocking at 46-4.But Paul Warren (32) and Michael Spence (24) rallied, Hungerford moving on to 105 before Iain Brunnschweiler combined with England Under-15 recruit Mitchell Stokes to break the partnership. When Spence departed two runs later at 107-6, Hungerford’s resistance was broken – Wheeler returning to finish things off with three quick wickets.Hungerford’s 128 all out was never likely to test the Young Hawks, who had all 22 points in the nest by the halway stage of their reply.Brunnschweiler’s unbeaten 59, coupled with an SPL debut 51 by King Edward VI all-rounder Alex Richardson, swept the Academy to a ten-wicket victory. The county youngsters are now 19 points clear of second-placed Easton & Martyr Worthy, with three matches remaining. They round off their programme with visits to Old Tauntonians & Romsey and Trojans, either side of a home game with United Services.Easton, whose visit to Sparsholt was postponed after Friday’s heavy rain, finish off with matches against Winchester KS, Rowledge and Lymington.United Services’ scheduled home match against Old Tauntonians & Romsey was postponed after vandals broke into Burnaby Road and damaged the pitch."It appears that someone gained unauthorised entry to the ground overnight, pulled off the tarpaulins, removed a cover and dug a deep hole on a length," explained US secretary Peter Piercey."Regrettably, the contractors could not prepare another strip in time. This was the second occasion in the past six months that the ground has been broken into – last time one of the covers was wrecked," he added.

Howey: Ozan Kabak could be a shrewd buy for Leicester City

Speaking exclusively to Football FanCast, former Leicester City player Steve Howey believes Schalke defender Ozan Kabak could be a “shrewd buy” for his old side.

Kabak spent the second half of last season on loan at Liverpool amid the Reds’ defensive crisis, but they opted against signing the 21-year-old permanently this summer.

He is now being linked with a move to Leicester, with reports in Turkey previously suggesting that a deal was close.

For Howey, if the Foxes can get that wrapped up, then it could be some very smart business. He told FFC:

“I think he’s done alright. Leicester’s recruitment has been excellent, so obviously they must’ve done their sort of homework on him. He could be quite a shrewd buy.”

Kabak had one of the highest averages in Liverpool’s squad for aerial duels won per league game last season (2.9, per WhoScored), so that ability in the air is one thing he could bring to this Leicester team.

Ultimately, Kabak is a player with quality and potential, impressing those in and around the game such as Alan Shearer with some of his performances at Anfield.

If Leicester are indeed looking to strengthen their centre-back options this summer, then perhaps the Schalke man could be a good option.
