O imbróglio do meia com o Tianjin Teda vem desde o meio do ano. Ele tinha vínculo com o clube até o meio de 2017, mas decidiu rescindi-lo unilateralmente. O jogador alegoujusta causa, já que foi afastado após a chegada do gabonês Malick Evouna, que excedeu a cota de estrangeiros da equipe, e não estava sequer registrado. Depois, Wagner passou a nem mesmo treinar na agremiação. No início de novembro o LANCE! antecipou que a transferência poderia ser julgada na Fifa, mas na ocasião o Corinthians adotava tom otimista.

Unfortunately for the English League One side, they look set to lose him for a minimal compensation fee. Sorinola has refused a new contract and now has suitors ranging from Celtic to clubs in Belgium, France and Spain.

Perfect for Howe

The defender doesn’t have too much experience under his belt, but from what we’ve seen of him, he could be perfect for seemingly incoming manager Eddie Howe at Celtic.

That’s because of the system and style of football to which Sorinola has become accustomed to playing at MK Dons.

Russell Martin’s side are one of the best at keeping possession in English football – in fact, only Manchester City have enjoyed more of the ball in England’s top four tiers this season. Pep Guardiola’s team have had an average of 60.9% of possession in 2020/21, while MK Dons have had 60.3% of the ball across their matches.

This is crucial because of the way that Celtic and indeed Howe like to play. The Hoops generally dominate the ball, something to which their possession average of 61.9% testifies.

Howe favoured an aesthetically pleasing brand of football during his time in charge of Bournemouth, which suggests that Sorinola would be the ideal signing at left-back. He is comfortable with the ball at his feet, completing 83% of his passes, while he loves to bomb forward.

The 1.73m (5 foot 8) full-back has been involved in as many as five goals this season and he is also strong in the challenge, winning 1.2 tackles per match.

Speaking about Sorinola earlier this term, Martin hailed the 20-year-old’s aggressive but calming nature, saying: “He’s technically right up there with anyone in the squad – he wants to play. I love his calmness too – for a young lad, he’s so composed.

“He defended really well. People may question his size but when you’re as brave as he is to play with the ball and get in people’s faces and shut them down, he has so much ability and potential.”

Celtic have witnessed Aaron Hickey and Kieran Tierney slip through their grasp in recent years, so it would be nice if they were the ones signing a precocious full-back instead.

كشفت مجلة “Soccer Laduma” الجنوب إفريقية عن 3 ملاعب قد تكون الأقرب لاستضافة مباراة الأهلي وصن داونز في الجولة الرابعة من دور مجموعات بطولة دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

ويلتقي الأهلي وصن داونز يوم السبت المقبل 12 مارس، ولكن لم يتم تحديد الملعب بعد لعدم جاهزية ملعبي لوكاس موريبي ولوفوتوس فيرسفيلد في مدينة “بريتوريا” بالإضافة إلى ملعب رويال بافوكينج.

وبحسب التقرير هناك 3 ملاعب قد تستضيف المباراة حتى الآن الأول ملعب “سوكر سيتي” في مدينة جوهانسبرج ولكن يخشى صن داونز تعارض موعد المباراة مع مواجهات كايزر تشيفز الذي يخوض مبارياته على هذا الملعب.

ولكن هناك ملعبان آخران من الممكن أن يكونا أفضل لنادي صن داونز من حيث الارتفاع عن سطح الأرض مثل ملعب “لوكاس موريبي” الذي هزم فيه الأهلي 5-0 قبل 3 سنوات.

الملعبان هما “بيتر موكابا” و”مبومبيلا” ويتميزان بأن الارتفاع عن سطح الأرض يتيح لنادي صن داونز نفس الأجواء الحارة على عكس تعود الأهلي في مصر من طقس بارد بسبب فصل الشتاء في الوقت الحالي.

حتى الآن، لم يتخذ صن داونز القرار بشأن ملعبه أمام الأهلي رغم أن المباراة ستقام بعد ظهر يوم السبت المقبل.

الجدير بالذكر أن الأهلي كان قد سقط أمام صن داونز في الجولة الثالثة على ملعب “القاهرة الدولي” بهدف نظيف سجله، ثابيلو مورينا، في الدقائق الأخيرة من الشوط الثاني.

Many Rangers fans have been left to buzz as an update emerged on the Scotland national team ahead of Euro 2020.

As per footage shown on their official Twitter page, both Nathan Patterson and Jon McLaughlin have been called up by Steve Clarke to represent their country in the upcoming summer tournament.

McLaughlin has already earned two senior caps before for Scotland, but crucially Patterson has never won a senior cap, yet Clarke has decided to take the 19-year-old to a major tournament, as a testament to just how well he has played for Steven Gerrard’s men this season.

The right-back has played in a total of 14 games in total over all competitions in the 2020/21 term (Transfermarkt), and has had to fill in for James Tavernier at times, which is not easy, and is again testament to his performances over the course of the campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has told The Transfer Tavern that if Harry Kane is sold by the club this summer, it will happen in the final week of the transfer window.

Kane has been at the centre of the back pages in recent days following a report from Sky Sports claiming that he has asked to leave the club in the coming transfer window.

There is said to be interest from Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea, but any deal to extricate Kane from north London will surely be immensely expensive.

The striker still has to play the final game of the season, against Leicester City, a game in which Spurs could seal qualification for Europe.

He will then captain England in the European Championships, attempting to end the nation’s 55-year trophy drought.

As a result, Roberts believes that if he does leave the club, he will only move in the final days of the window.

Speaking to TT, he said: “But you know, he will give 100% for the football club. He’s got one more game. And then you’ve got the European Championships.

“So, you know, we’ll see what happens. If he is going to be sold, it won’t be until the last week of the transfer deadline.”

وقال منجيثي في تصريحات عبر صحيفة “دايلي صن” الجنوب إفريقية: “أنا أحب الغضب والانتقام، نحب أن يأتي المنافس بهذه العقلية لأنها تشكل أشياء مثيرة، نحن لسنا خائفين أو قلقين”.

وأضاف: “الأهلي سجل 10 أهداف في آخر 3 مباريات، لكنهم لم يسجلوا تلك الأهداف ضدنا، سجلوهم ضد فرق أخرى”.

كشفت تقارير صحفية إسبانية عن اجتماع مرتقب بين رجل الأعمال الإسباني، فلورنتينو بيريز رئيس ريال مدريد، والرئيس التنفيذي لنادي بوروسيا دورتموند هانز يواكيم فاتسكه، من أجل التعاقد مع المهاجم النرويجي إيرلينج هالاند.

وترغب العديد من الأندية الأوروبية في التعاقد مع هالاند، وخاصًة بعد انفجار النرويجي مع بوروسيا دورتموند تهديفيًا.

وقالت الشبكة إن بيريز يعلم باهتمام مانشستر سيتي بالتعاقد مع هالاند، برغبة من المدرب الإسباني بيب جوارديولا، المدير الفني للفريق، إذ لم يتعاقد السكاي بلو مع مُهاجم مُنذ رحيل سيرجيو أجويرو.

بيريز وفاتسكه تجمعهما علاقة جيدة، وسيجلسان في مدريد بالساعات القليلة القادمة من أجل التناقش حول ضم هالاند.
