Celtic will be without centre-back Carl Starfelt for their Europa League clash against Ferencvaros, The Daily Record report.

The Lowdown: Injury pile up…

Ange Postecoglou hasn’t had a great deal of luck when it comes to injuries in his first season in charge of the club.

At this moment in time, along with Starfelt, the likes of Tom Rogic, Christopher Jullien, Greg Taylor and Karamoko Dembele are all unavailable for first-team action.

Starfelt, who joined in a deal worth £4.5m over the summer, had been a regular in recent weeks alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers, however, he’ll now be missing until after the international break.

The Latest: Another one…

Starfelt went off with a hamstring issue in the 0-0 stalemate with Livingston last weekend.

Postecoglou has now confirmed prior to the Europa League group game that the 26-year-old, who he called ‘athletic’ will not feature against Ferencvaros or Dundee.

As reported by The Daily Record on Wednesday, Postecoglou said:

“We lost Carl Starfelt in the last game and similar sort of timeline to Tommy (Rogic) I guess.

“We are hoping he will be back after the international break, but he will definitely miss these two games.”

The Verdict: Who will come in?

The good news is that Postecoglou will have a number of options to replace Starfelt in his Europa League squad.

Osaze Urhoghide is still awaiting his Hoops debut, but you’d expect Stephen Welsh and Nir Bitton are the frontrunners to come into the side.

Welsh has made 10 appearances so far this season, whereas Bitton has also filled in when needed.

Teenager Dane Murray also has European experience under Postecoglou during the current campaign, so it’ll be interesting to see who comes in.

But that last session on the first day put us on the back foot, and then we couldn’t actually get out of the slump. O drama de Dedé começou no final de 2014, em uma empate por 3 a 3 com o Santos, na Vila Belmiro, pela semifinal da Copa do Brasil. Ele retornou em janeiro de 2016, fez apenas seis jogos e sofreu uma fratura na patela do joelho direito, ficando sem atuar um ano e 22 dias. Ele voltou aos campos em março de 2017, fez sete jogos e sofreu um edema ósseo no outro joelho esquerdo, que não evolui.

No dia 1° deste mês, o zagueiro discutiu com torcedores na rede social, que o acusam de ‘corpo mole’.

– Só quero deixar bem claro que não estou e nem nunca fui acomodado. Infelizmente veio esta lesão em um retorno onde estava me sentindo tão bem jogando. Principal contratação do Flamengo para o segundo semestre, o meia Everton Ribeiro vem apresentando bom rendimento jogando centralizado, como o cérebro do time. No entanto, Everton Ribeiro não chega a ser o ‘camisa 10’ quando todos os jogadores estão à disposição no Flamengo. Diego é quem faz esta função, e o canhotinho fica na ponta direita, mais discreto.

Everton Ribeiro jogou centralizado nas duas partidas contra o Palestino, pela Sul-Americana, e também nos duelos diante de Coritiba e Vitória, pelo Brasileiro. Ele fez gols em três destes jogos e só não foi decisivo contra a equipe baiana, quando todo o time rubro-negro foi mal.

Recentemente, quando questionado sobre o assunto, o meia disse não ter preferência de atuar no meio.

-Para mim, é indiferente. Quando jogo pelo meio, tenho um pouquinho mais de liberdade, porém na lateral foi onde eu consegui me firmar no futebol brasileiro. Sempre que precisar, quando alguém tiver fora, ou o treinador optar por me colocar no meio, estarei à disposição – disse.

TITE DE OLHO NO MEIA DO FLAMENGO

Everton Ribeiro voltou ao Brasil pensando no retorno à Seleção Brasileira, de olho na Copa do Mundo de 2018. Nesta última convocação, o técnico Tite garantiu que está de olho no canhotinho do Flamengo. Ou seja, o primeiro passo para voltar a vestir a Amarelinha já foi dado.

Outro que está sendo observado pelo treinador da Seleção Brasileiro é o meia Diego. Tite vem assistindo a alguns jogos do Flamengo in loco e pode dar oportunidades aos jogadores rubro-negros em breve.

NOVA OPORTUNIDADE NO DOMINGO

Como Diego está suspenso no jogo do próximo domingo, contra o Atlético-MG, Everton Ribeiro terá novamente a função de comandar o meio campo do Flamengo. A partida será realizada no Independência e é válida pela primeira rodada do returno do Campeonato Brasileiro.

O meia Everton também desfalca o Flamengo contra o Galo. A tendência é que Berrío entre no time na ponta direita, e Geuvânio seja deslocado para a esquerda. O jovem Vinicius Júnior é outra opção.

Na abertura do Brasileirão, Flamengo e Atlético-MG empataram em 1 a 1 no Maracanã. Na época, as duas equipes ainda eram apontadas como favoritas ao título da competição. تأثر ليستر سيتي عشية الموسم الجديد في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز بغياب أحد لاعبيه عن الملاعب لمدة ستة أشهر بسبب تمزق وتر العرقوب “أكيليس”.

ويبدأ ليستر مشواره في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز على أرضه أمام برينتفورد يوم الأحد.

وكان المدافع ريكاردو بيريرا قد انسحب من المباراة الودية التي فاز فيها الفريق بهدف دون رد على إشبيلية في استاد كينج باور يوم الأحد وخضع لعملية جراحية في وتر العرقوب هذا الأسبوع.

في حديثه في أول مؤتمر صحفي له قبل المباراة في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز هذا الموسم، أكد بريندان رودجرز، مدرب ليستر سيتي، إصابة البرتغالي وذكر مدى إهدار الفريق.

وقال مدرب ليستر سيتي: “للأسف، سيغيب ريكاردو بيريرا لما يصل إلى ستة أشهر، لقد أصيب بتمزق في وتر العرقوب، وهو أمر مؤسف للغاية لأن الكثير من فكرة لعبتنا خلال الصيف كانت تدور حول الظهير وحوله على وجه الخصوص”.

وأضاف: “كان يبدو جيدا جدا إنها ضربة قوية له، لقد خضع لعملية جراحية الليلة الماضية وسوف يتعافى الآن، ويعود بقوته مرة أخرى ويعود بشكل أفضل أنا متأكد، سيكون خسارة كبيرة بالنسبة لنا ولكن علينا المضي قدمًا”.
