Left-arm seamer Harry Gurney will be leaving Grace Road for Trent Bridge at the end of the season after signing a three-year contract with Nottinghamshire. Gurney, 24, will represent Leicestershire in the Champions League, the qualifying tournament for which starts on September 19, before completing the switch.Gurney was Leicestershire’s leading wicket-taker in this year’s Twenty20 competition with 23 scalps. He missed Leicestershire’s Finals Day victory with a side strain but will recover in time to take part in the Champions League.”I’ve made my mark in limited-overs cricket but I think I can be more effective in four day cricket given the way the red ball swings at Trent Bridge and the carry in the wicket,” said Gurney. “Nottinghamshire have an excellent squad that is usually in contention in all three formats and I want to be part of that.”Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell suggested that Gurney would add left-arm variation to his pace attack. “Leicestershire tend to play two spinners in the Championship and Harry has found himself behind Matthew Hoggard and Nathan Buck which has limited his appearances,” said Newell.”He’s had success in twenty-over cricket and our batsmen were impressed by the pace he showed in the matches against us. Left-arm swing is a good option for us to have at our disposal and we’re pleased to have agreed this deal with Harry.”Gurney played club cricket for Loughborough Town before graduating through Leicestershire’s age group system and making his first class debut in 2007. He took three wickets in his solitary Championship appearance this season.

– Nosso time é muito técnico e de início tivemos ciência que teríamos que ser cirúrgicos e eficientes na defesa e aproveitar as brechas para fazer o gol. Foi o que aconteceu. Nosso time ficou muito bem postado, conseguimos ter um equilíbrio tático e neutralizar o adversário. Por fim, saímos de lá com os três pontos, que sem duvidas foram importantíssimos. Fisicamente, estou muito bem. A preparação na nossa pré-temporada foi fundamental para isso. Consegui ser intenso durante os noventa minutos. Mesmo com o campo muito pesado e diversas poças d’agua, consegui ter uma excelente performance tanto técnica quanto física – analisou o lateral-esquerdo do Serrano.

وأضاف: “كان هدفنا التواجد في مكان هو الأفضل وصرح عظيم، وقد كان نادي الزمالك وهو أكبر كيان تحقيقًا للإنجازات والبطولات تحت قيادة مجلس الإدارة برئاسة مرتضى منصور”.

وأردف: “أشكر مرتضى منصور صاحب أطيب قلب والذي لا ينطق إلا بكلمة الحق دائمًا، ويشرفني أننا من محافظة واحدة وهي الدقهلية، وأشكر الشركة المتحدة وشركة بريزنتيشن ومسؤوليهم”.

Harbhajan Singh has said it is “important to understand your body and manage it accordingly” in order to survive the rigours of the bloated schedule India’s cricketers are being subjected to.”A lot of hard work has been put in outside the field, and I am glad that it is paying off when the country needs me the most,” Harbhajan told the ahead of the West Indies tour, where he will be vice-captain of the one-day side in the absence of all the other senior players who are either resting or recovering from injuries. “You need to build your stamina to remain fit and be raring to go, and that happens only with proper planning. The main thing is to make the youngsters feel very comfortable in the dressing room. He believed switching from the Twenty20 format to one-dayers at short notice would not be a problem for him. “They are diametrically opposite versions, but being a professional, I’m ready for it. In Twenty20s, every second guy can roll his arm over – you don’t need skill or great variation. However, in the 50-over format, a spinner can really achieve something substantial. The switch is quite drastic.”The IPL was alright, it still is quite an unpredictable format for everyone concerned, but especially the bowlers. As a spinner, all I can do is to pray that the four overs go well. If I get lucky, then I end up with a couple of wickets, otherwise the only constant is to get hit for runs all over the park. You can’t really judge a player based on his Twenty20 performances.”Harbhajan will share the spin burden with R Ashwin and Amit Mishra in the West Indies one-dayers, both of whom courted more success than him in the IPL. Harbhajan said there were plenty of options in the team and did not want to comment on the combination. He hoped that the youngsters would make use of the chance to shine in the absence of the regulars.”It is a relatively young side, and this tour should be looked at as an opportunity for them to grab,” Harbhajan said. “They have earned their team call-ups the hard way, and after knocking on the door for so long, they have an entire series to really stake their claim. Nevertheless, it will be a challenge.”

عاد لاعب وسط منتخب مصر والفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي آرسنال، محمد النني، على رادار بشكتاش مرة أخرى لاحتمالية الانتقال إلى صفوفه في الميركاتو الشتوي الحالي.

لطالما ارتبط اسم محمد النني بإمكانية الانتقال إلى بشكتاش أكثر من مرة خلال فترات الميركاتو السابقة، بعدما لعب على سبيل الإعارة قبل 3 مواسم في الفريق التركي.

ينتهي عقد الفرعون المصري مع آرسنال بنهاية الموسم الحالي في 30 يونيو، لذلك يحق له التفاوض والتوقيع على عقود مبدئية مع ناديه الجديد كما تنص لوائح الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم “فيفا”.
